Editorial: An Open Letter to the ‘NeverTrump’ Coalition
“An open letter to Christians, conservatives, libertarians, devoted Republicans and other sundry members of the NEVER Trump movement:
Given that we’ve known Donald Trump would run at some point since 2008 and with matter of certitude since 2012, there has been plenty of time for prayerful consideration of Donald Trump’s run for the White House. As a Reagan Republican of libertarian stripe and zeal, I openly declare that I’ve said my prayers, done my due diligence and will vote confidently and with clear conscience for Donald J. Trump for President of these United States.
I believe this election is about one issue and one issue only: Do you prefer to see this country as a viably independent nation-state with defended borders, cohesive, intelligent opposition to the suicidal importation of Sharia Law and terrorist sleeper cell and restored economic self-determination, or would you acquiesce to see the U.S. succumb to a chaotic social death and rolled irrevocably into the North American Union in the presaged final gambit before a coalesced and fully realized global government?
If we judge a man by his fruit, I would implore my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to understand that Donald Trump’s most prescient fruit is his list of enemies, which reads like a roll call for the escalator to hell. The people who hate him most are enemies of our American heritage and traitors to the Constitution of the United States. Their hatred is well justified.
Please desist with the self-righteous judgmentalism over jot and tittle of Trump’s litany of imperfections and peccadilloes. They are many. Beyond them all, I believe the man is an unabashed nationalist who understands fiscal conservatism, populism and American exceptionalism and will not surrender to the globalist agenda to neuter and marginalize the American model of prosperity, liberty and freedom which stands as the lone obstacle to collectivist erasure of the memory of national sovereignty. Among other defiant declarations, Donald Trump has already stated his intention to return us to a time when Merry Christmas and Happy Easter were not considered utterances of hate speech punishable by societal shunning. Even in this, he surpasses recent GOP standard bearers whose mollycoddle and milquetoast were deemed more palatable to the mainstream party elite.
I would further implore my fellow patriot travelers to see through the spin and stop flirting with the idea that having a temper tantrum over candidate selection will somehow justify allowing a known felon, liar and traitorous charlatan into the same Oval Office where her husband signed away the American birthright through international trade treaty and malice of forethought. Bill and Hillary Clinton are perhaps the most corrupt and unapologetic duo ever to linger so long at the center of American political leadership. A full catalog of their dubious legacy would far exhaust the space allotted for the words you are reading here. Even the most neophyte among us can still recite at least a portion of the despicable and shadowy allegations that have swirled incessantly around virtually every corrupt chapter of the disastrous Clinton mistake.
Despite years of skirting and violating the rule of law, Hillary Clinton now has it within her grasp to drive the final nails into the coffin of the American Dream and the Republican nominee standing in her way is the ONLY GOP candidate who would have ever had a prayer of defeating her in the general election. And if you don’t understand why any of that is true, I would submit that you don’t understand even rudimentary politics.
The issue is not whether you believe Donald Trump is the most ideologically perfect Republican candidate the world has seen. The only issue that matters is whether you’re awakened enough by open corruption, rigged elections and illusory democracy to respond appropriately and reject her majesty’s power grabbing insult to your voting rights. Hillary Clinton arguably deserves a great many things both in this life and next. Winning a divisive election through lies and subterfuge and being rewarded the White House for extraordinarily criminal behavior isn’t one of them.
Study to show thyself approved. Stop standing on ceremony. Throughout history, I believe it self-evident that God frequently uses damaged pottery to accomplish His most dangerous missions. It is my firm belief that Donald Trump fits the bill and is worthy of square-shouldered support against the final extinguishing of liberty’s flame and the looming demolition of what Ronald Reagan termed, the Shining City on a Hill. I urge you to cast your vote in November as if it might be the very last you’re ever allowed. Let us pray together that those words remain forever described as hyperbole rather than accomplished history resulting from a fratricidal feud between true patriots in what may be our last stand for liberty on American soil.”
