Interim Attorney General Matthew Whitaker argued in 2016 that Hillary Clinton should have been criminally charged and pushed back against FBI Director James Comey, who asserted that “no reasonable prosecutor” would have pursued charges. Whitaker disagreed, saying that he would have indicted Hillary for her handling of classified material on an insecure private email server that has been linked to multiple breeches by foreign entities and coincided tragically with the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya and more recently revealed, the wiping out of high value U.S. intelligence assets in communist China.

“I believe myself to have been a reasonable prosecutor, and when the facts and evidence show a criminal violation has been committed, the individuals involved should not dictate whether the case is prosecuted,” wrote Whitaker, a former U.S. attorney.

After two years of Sessions’ inactivity and his infamous recusal on Russian Collusion that has allowed a compromised and biased Department of Justice to wage open skirmishes on the Trump White House, Whitaker may be a massive tell in a wartime pivot for the Trump Administration.

Given what he’s on record saying about Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information, her private email server and multiple scandals, pucker factor in the beltway is likely registering on the Richter scale.
