Defeating The Donald: How Leftists Allowed Insanity to Destroy a Strategic Edge
If Democrats and mainstream Republicans were smart, they’d have welcomed Donald Trump with passels of rose petals and olive branches. They’d have extended every bipartisan courtesy that their cloying mania could afford. They’d have said yes to every idea and piled aboard his rollicking MAGA express with reckless abandon.
They’d have hosted flag hugging contests of their own.
If the establishment lunkers were smart, they’d have spent his first term making it appear as if Donald Trump was a seamless fit into the establishment status quo of Washington. And then run a populist “outsider” candidate at him in 2020, casting Trump as a typical politician, fully absorbed by the system he came to change.
It’s a strategy that might have worked. And certainly far better than the constant barrage of monkey feces and drool that is now synonymous with the Democrat asylum for the criminally profane.
Problem is for them, Donald Trump came to bury the system, not to praise it. He came to dismantle their tyranny, not to compare denture cream and compression socks with Nancy and Chuck.

And so, even as an incumbent President now quite skilled as a political warrior, Donald Trump can and will run and remains “The Outsider,” in the swamp in Washington D.C. A stranger in a strange land wielding his sword with wild abandon to the delight of a dedicated throng of American sojourners who see him less as President and more as a comic book superhero laying waste to Hydra and the world criminal cabal.
An outsider status with crowds and campaign earnings that bely a fearsome political energy that only Ronald Reagan in 1984 could rightfully sympathize.
If Democrats and the rest of the establishment were smart and not surpassingly evil, they’d get out of the way and let Trump’s populist resurgence create the new American renaissance that has been the nighttime prayer of several generations of suffering patriots and saints, longing for a return of the America we all knew, once upon a time.
And pray forgiveness for sins against the nation they vowed to serve.
If they were smart, or even human, they wouldn’t have sold out their country and the birthright of generations for a place at the demonic sacrificial rite of desecration.
Then again, after you’ve bartered your soul for ultimate power, it’s a hard thing to do, when one man’s success for the nation inherently means a whip of cords against the thieves in the temple and long prison terms for their best of friends.
