New Statistical Projections Predict Best Case Scenario: 15-million Deaths Globally, Worst Case: 68-million Deaths and Total Economic Collapse.
–New modeling from The Australian National University looks at seven scenarios of how the COVID-19 outbreak might affect the world, ranging from low severity to high severity. In the high-severity model the global death toll is 68-million, with global GDP loss as high as $9 trillion—total economic collapse. Best case outlook in the study predicts 15-million dead and $2.4-trillion in economic loss.
–Italy massively hit by COVID-19 but travelers arriving in the United States from Italian cities are not quarantined, not even questioned about their whereabouts or the potential for infection. INSANITY.
–Spanish PATIENT ZERO recovers from COVID-19 after being treated with Lopinavir-ritonavir, an HIV antiviral drug that is part of a class of medications known as protease inhibitors, which interfere with an enzyme necessary in viral replication. Protease inhibitors limit viral reproduction, allowing the patient’s immune system to fight back. The drug — which has been used to treat HIV and AIDS for over 10 years — was combined with interferon beta, a protein that prevents cells from becoming infected and is used on people with multiple sclerosis patients.
