Delivering a dolloping dose of Trump-deranged fear porn on his July 27th national radio broadcast, leftist host Thom Hartmann told his Trump-hating listeners that the energy and EPA policies of President Donald Trump will, “likely make portions of the North American continental United States uninhabitable, likely some time in the next 5 to 10 years.”

Hartmann made the prediction as part of a broader discussion about Trump’s overall economic performance and the release of Q2 Gross Domestic Product numbers showing the U.S. economy grew at a brisk 4.1%, despite five interest rate increases by the Federal Reserve since Trump’s election.  Hartmann responded to a caller who suggested that an American open borders immigration policy would be wise, because, “climate change and nuclear war could make us into immigrants needing a safer place to live,” and suddenly reliant on the hospitality of neighboring nations for new beginnings.

Hartmann doubled down on the caller’s point saying that the Trump economic boom has been built on a rollback of Obama era ‘cap and trade,’ energy regulations, a reversal of policy course that Hartmann said guarantees ‘catastrophic’ climate impacts in the very near future, adding that he believes climate change impacts could be so severe that portions of the Southwestern and Midwestern United States will be ‘uninhabitable,’ forcing permanent abandonment of those areas and complete loss of arable farm land for cultivation.

Hartmann and the Portland, Oregon caller then laughed together inexplicably, seeming to rejoice in unison at the apocalyptic prospect of such a scenario and salivating over the opportunity to find negative political consequences for conservatives, in the unlikely ‘Road Warrior’ misery of people forced to flee for their lives because of such a rapid shift in temperatures.

Hartmann’s comments are made all the more ridiculous since they come at a time of comparative leftist silence on the Climate Change narrative as global cooling, not warming, and a looming Maunder minimum in 11-year solar sunspot cycle has some in the scientific community warning of a pervasive cooling trend in the next few decades that some warn could even lead to a ‘mini ice age.’   Scientists are predicting a drastic decrease in magnetic activity on the solar surface, resulting a near cessation of sunspot activity for the next three solar cycles, or 33-years.

In the past decade, proponents and promoters of the anthropocentric or man-caused climate narrative were forced to abandon the movement’s original branding of ‘Global Warming,’ after a 19-year steadying of global temperatures commonly referred to in AGC circles as, ‘the pause,’ made global warming a misnomer impossible to sell to the public, even by their standards of delusion.  Even the staunchest of leftist climate doom prophets have gone virtually silent on the topic in recent years, seeming to concede that present temperature trends and solar cycle don’t bode well for their sales pitch of a global desert with melted icecaps and rising oceans.

Hartmann’s grasping at the climate change boondoggle is just the latest proof that the economic success of the Trump policies is creating fever pitch desperation among the hysterical left, who continue their push into heretofore uncharted degrees of political radicalization, as voices openly embracing Democratic Socialism, universal basic income, free college and free healthcare become the most visible standard bearers of the Democrat Party.

Hartmann has been a longtime supporter of avowed socialist U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders and a constant critic of the Presidency of Ronald Reagan, which he blames for a myriad of issues, including but not limited to the economic underperformance of Barack Obama.
