West Hollywood City Council Wants Trump Star Removed
Bill Cosby has a star. Harvey Weinstein has a star. Roman Polanski, too. Ditto, wife killers Robert Blake and OJ Simpson. Still star-worthy, apparently. Shine on you crazy kids.
United States President Donald Trump? The guy who brokered a peace deal with North Korea and whose policies helped America post the best economic numbers since the 1950’s? Maybe not for much longer. You know, because standards of decorum.
After a series of vandalism incidents of varying degrees and repouring and replacing the thing twice since his election, the West Hollywood City Council has decided they no longer want the headache of maintaining a Donald Trump star on the Walk of Fame, amidst the most ignorant, deranged and emotionally imbalanced population base this side of Berkley, California. Problem is, it’s not their decision.
The West Hollywood Council voted late Monday night to urge the City of Los Angeles to remove the Trump Star from the Hollywood walk of fame. But that action has no legal effect and is merely a suggestion about what the West Hollyweird folk wish would happen. Los Angeles City and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce have final say.
Monday’s West Hollywood council action comes less than two weeks after a man with a pickaxe teed off on the Trump star before surrendering himself to police for the act of vandalism.
There’s no indication yet whether Los Angeles City or the Hollywood Chamber will take up the matter anytime soon.
