AP Censors Pence China Speech on YouTube, Removes Reference to Google Treason
Vice President Mike Pence Thursday drops the administrative hammer on Google for their Chinese style censorship and shadowbanning of conservative speech. Calls Google’s pending move to China an “Act of Treason.” Associated Press video edits out any mention.
It’s what you might call, case in point. With a raging national debate and conservative outcry over the censorship of conservative thought and the deliberate attempts on the part of big tech firms to silence conservative voices on social media and beyond, Vice President Mike Pence gave a measured but fiery speech Thursday criticizing the ideological meddling of big tech and calling Google’s pending move to China, “An act of treason.”
And the Associated Press, on a clearly edited video uploaded to Google video subsidiary, YouTube, removed any reference to Pence’s remarks on Google.
Pence’s address touched on what he identified as a protracted and deliberate effort on the part of the Chinese government to steer the ideological climate of the United States ahead of the critical 2018 midterm elections and to effectuate a regime change in America in 2020, by working toward the defeat of President Donald Trump.
“The leadership of Donald Trump is working. And quite simply, the nation of China wants a new American President.
–Vice President Mike Pence
“The leadership of President Donald Trump is working. And quite simply, the nation of China wants a new American President,” Pence said.
It’s believed Thursday’s announcement is the start of a Trump administration crackdown on web censorship of political speech that has been completely one sided, allowing death threats, threats of physical violence, mentions of white genocide as a needed cultural option and suggestions that all men be castrated and fed to pigs as protected free speech by the liberal left, while simultaneously banning conservative voices from platforms that have formed the public commons of free expression in the digital age.
President Trump has issued warnings and criticism on several occasions against Google, facebook and Twitter for their staunching and silencing of conservative thought. An executive order possibly declaring social media giants an extension of Constitutional “public commons” doctrine regarding free speech is expected by the end of this month.
