Constitutionalist Jonathan Turley Receives Violent Threats After Opposing Impeachment
Jonathan Turley’s non-partisan testimony arguing against impeaching President Trump triggered The Left so much so that he received numerous threats, some coming even before the hearing ended.
Obviously, only an emulation of the rancorous Trump deranged mania of Jeffrey Epstein relative and purported Standard Hotel patron, Noah Feldman and the snarling, child attacking, pink vagina hat-wearing, Pamela Karlan would have pleased unhinged leftists who threatened Turley even as the Democrat served up a sort of ‘minority report,’ in calling for Constitutional reason and restraint in the current impeachment troika.
Turley, who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, gave the most sound, reasoned constitutional analysis of the four witnesses. While addressing the lawmakers in charge of drafting articles of impeachment, Turley remarked:
“I’m not prejudging what your record would show, but if you rush this impeachment, you are going to leave half the country behind. And certainly, that’s not what the framers wanted.”

Before Turley could even return to his office, he was deluged by hateful, threatening messages from the idiot deranged SJW horde.
Writing for the Hill, Turley revealed:
“In my testimony Wednesday, I lamented that, as in the impeachment of President Clinton from 1998 to 1999, there is an intense “rancor and rage” and “stifling intolerance” that blinds people to opposing views. My call for greater civility and dialogue may have been the least successful argument I made to the committee. Before I finished my testimony, my home and office were inundated with threatening messages and demands that I be fired from George Washington University for arguing that, while a case for impeachment can be made, it has not been made on this record.”
“Some of the most heated attacks came from Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee. Representative Eric Swalwell of California attacked me for defending my client, Judge Thomas Porteous, in the last impeachment trial and noted that I lost that case. Swalwell pointed out that I said Porteous had not been charged with a crime for any conduct, which is an obviously material point for any impeachment defense.”
